Danish TV2 East has chosen Mimir as their cloud video collaboration and production asset management (PAM), integrated with the cloud newsroom tool Dina.
TV2 East is the third of the regional Danish TV2 media houses to choose Mimir and Dina as central tools for a modern news workflow and for moving to the cloud. TV 2 Fyn launched with story-centric newsroom workflows and cloud in June 2020 (read more here), followed by TV SYD going live in May 2022 (read more here).
TV2 East uses Mimir to store and manage their media in the cloud, automatic metadata logging using artificial intelligence, share videos and images, and more. It's a tool for the TV 2 East video editors, with tight integration with Adobe Premiere Pro, and a tool for journalists to access videos and images when creating stories in Dina.
"It's great to see that yet another of the TV 2 media houses is making a move to the cloud with tools that are built from the ground up on modern technologies for cloud production and for working from anywhere", says Kristian Kim Eikeland, VP of Sales, Mjoll.
An integrated newsroom workflow with Mimir and Dina
Mimir tightly integrates with the cloud newsroom tool Dina allowing users to search and add videos to their stories directly from the newsroom. Mimir offers advanced search capabilities for journalists to find the content they need. With access to a range of AI technologies, TV East users can automate time-consuming tasks such as metadata logging, speech-to-text transcriptions, multi-language translations, facial recognition, object tracking, and more.
